Fixed towbars
There are two types of fixed towbars: flange towbars (mostly used in the professional sector for heavier work) and standard fixed towbars: the most common towbar in Europe.
Benefits
The fixed towbar is a perfect solution when you frequently use the towbar. It is permanently available, so it’s always there when needed. The fixed towbar is maintenance free and will last the lifetime of the vehicle. The fixed towbar is suitable for every type of bike carrier, and it can easily take any challenge, be it towing a trailer, boat trailer or caravan.
Available for almost any car
The fixed towbar is the most common towbar solution. We have developed a fixed towbar for almost any make and model. The only time the fixed towbar is unattainable, is if it happens to block the license plate or mist lights when installed, as these are legally required to be visible.
Flange towbars are heavy-duty towbars and are mostly used in the professional sector. It can easily pull trailers with a weight of
more than 3 tonnes. There are 3 types: the two-hole, the four-hole and the lowered four-hole.
Benefits
Two-hole flange
The two-hole flanged ball can be adjusted in height if the flanged plate it is mounted to consists of four, instead of two coupling points, see the image below: the plate has four coupling points, so in this case the two-hole flanged ball is adjustable in height. The two-hole flanged ball can be mounted to both the top and bottom coupling points of the flanged plate. It can be useful to adjust it in height, especially if you have a delivery van. The two-hole flanged ball can be set up in such a way that the back doors can always swing open above the drawbar of the trailer.
Four-hole flange
With a four-hole flanged ball, you can be sure you can use other coupling systems on the flanged plate. These coupling systems (for example drawbar coupling, claw coupling and ball-pen combination) exactly fit this flanged plate.
The four-hole flanged ball can only be mounted on a flanged plate with four coupling points.
Lowered four-hole flange
The lowered four-hole flanged ball is perfect for delivery vans, pickups or chassis-cabs standing high on their wheels. Due to this, the heart of the ball continues to meet the legal requirements. Measured from the ground, it should remain between 36 to 42 centimeters high even when fully loaded.
